Wright said: “Not much has changed about our injury situation because a lot of them are long-term injuries.

“Rob Hunt is training but he’s not feeling physically fit enough to play at the moment. Mathieu Baudry has been training well, but he’s been out a long time. And Zeki Fryers won’t play again – he’s not even back running yet.

“Dion Conroy has had surgery on Monday, and Paul Caddis has got a slight hamstring strain, so he won’t be fit for tomorrow.

“Akin Odimayo has got to see a specialist at the end of the week for his knee injury, so we’ll see what they say. We have got injuries, but everybody has at this time of the season.”

Reflecting on Saturday’s heavy defeat, the caretaker boss admitted the Town coaching staff could have taken any number of players off at half-time, with Jordan Lyden and Tom Broadbent the unlucky pair.

Swindon improved further on into the second half, but only after Wimbledon had scored their fourth goal.

Wright said: “They (Lyden and Broadbent) were just miles away. Jordan Lyden has been out for a while, and he looked so far off it. He was really struggling to keep up with the pace of the game.

“Tom Broadbent wasn’t feeling very well before the game started, but that’s not the reason he got brought off – he just wasn’t good enough on the day really.

“Those two weren’t the only ones, they were just the two we decided to take off.”
