Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games playing on zero days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record. The Thunder are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Oklahoma City, the Lakers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Lakers are 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Oklahoma City.

The Lakers have been the benchmark of the league and they’re full of confidence after blowing out the Rockets twice in a row, but they could be shorthanded for this one as Anthony Davis is currently listed as questionable with a toe injury. Given that the Lakers are playing on the second night of a back to back, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Davis was simply rested for this one, but the Lakers still should have more than enough to take down the streaky Thunder.

Assuming nothing goes awry over the next 20 or so hours, the Lakers and Thunder will still play each other for the first time this season on Wednesday at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Thunder struggled as much as most people thought they would to start the season, going 1-4 through their first five games without Paul or Steven Adams, the latter of whom they traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in November. However, in the six games they’ve played since then, they’ve gone 4-2, and they have their defense to thank for it.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in stellar form this season as they’ve won nine of their first 12 games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Rockets in a 117-100 road win last night.

LeBron James led the team with 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Anthony Davis added 19 points with 10 rebounds and five blocks while Dennis Schroder, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell each scored 14 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 32 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with a dominant 35-14 first quarter before cruising the rest of the way as they led by as many as 30 points.
